Our Name: Resolved
The name Resolved Taxes is inspired by Jonathan Edwards, a historical theologian known for his disciplined faith and intentional way of living. In his early twenties, Edwards wrote a set of personal commitments known as his “resolutions,” where he devoted himself to living with purpose, integrity, and a constant awareness of God in every area of life. These resolutions reflected a deep desire to live with conviction rather than passivity, and to approach each day with intentionality and responsibility.
That same spirit of being “resolved” is what shaped the name and foundation of this company. At Resolved Taxes, we strive to bring that same mindset into our work by operating with integrity, excellence, and purpose in every detail. Our goal is to serve clients in a way that reflects careful stewardship, consistent effort, and a commitment to doing what is right, even when it requires extra diligence.

Meet Elijah
Elijah Smith is the founder of Resolved Taxes & Bookkeeping, serving business owners throughout the Treasure Valley. As an Enrolled Agent (EA), Elijah is federally licensed by the U.S. Department of the Treasury and authorized to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service in all matters, including audits, collections, and appeals. Enrolled Agents specialize in taxation and are required to demonstrate deep knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code while maintaining ongoing continuing education in tax law.
Elijah started Resolved Taxes & Bookkeeping with a clear purpose: to provide business owners with precise financial guidance, proactive tax strategy, and principled stewardship rooted in integrity. He recognized that many small businesses do not struggle from a lack of ambition, but from a lack of clear financial structure and forward-thinking tax planning. Resolved was built to bridge that gap. His focus is not only on preparing tax returns, but on equipping clients with clarity, confidence, and long-term financial direction.
Before founding his firm, Elijah spent several years working in entertainment business management, serving ultra-high-net-worth individuals. In that environment, accuracy was non-negotiable and confidentiality was essential. That experience shaped his attention to detail and prepared him to handle complex financial work, including bookkeeping, tax preparation, and audit defense at a high level.
Elijah is a follower of Jesus, a husband to his wife Rebekah, and a father to their son Asa. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, working out, and serving his community. His mission is to equip clients with financial clarity, proactive tax planning, and biblically grounded principles that help them build strong businesses and a lasting legacy.
